Today you will be picked up from your hotel and travel to the Five Fountain Hill and The Gansu Provincial Museum. At the museum you will be able to see carvings, ceramics, wooden tablets, the 2,000 year old bronze statue and others. It is one of the best provincial museums in all of China.

Drive from Guiyang to Anshun to visit the world renowned Huangguoshu Waterfall- the
largest waterfall in Asia. With seventy-four meters (243 feet) high and eighty-one
meters (266 feet) wide, it is a scenic marvel. And then Visit Tian Sing Qiao garden
and the stone forest on the water. Then take a visit to the Yunshantun Old-han Chinese
Village and the Batik Museum.

Day 03 Anshun - Guiyang (B/L)
Drive back from Huangguoshu to Guiyang, en route visit Hongfeng Lake Scenic Area and
enjoy the lake cruise. Visit the Jiaxiu Pavilion, which was originally built in 1598,
which is magnificent and unique of great culture significance in Guiyang.

Day 04 Guiyang --- Home (B)
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.

Day 1 Arrive / Xining
Upon arrival at Xining- the capital of Qinghai Province, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for a rest.

Xining: the capital of Qinghai Province with 1 million people and 23% of whom are minority peoples. Xining is an ideal resort for summer vacation due to its pleasant weather in summer.

Day 2 Xining / Qinghai Lake
After breakfast, drive about 150km to Qinghai Lake, along the way, pat a visit to Ta'er Lamasery, Sun and Moon Mountain, Daotang River, and Qinghai Lake. Enjoy campfire party at night.

Ta'er Lamasery: located in Huangzhong County, named after the Golden-roofed Lamasery's silver tower built in memory of Zongkaba, the founder of the Yellow Sect. The silver tower is called "Gunbenxianbalin" in Tibetan, meaning "a Maitreya Lamasery where 100,000 lions roar at a Buddha Portrait." With a rich collection of relics, Ta'er Lamasery is famous for “Four Clever Arts": Ghee Flowers, Barbola, Painting and Sculptures. Four grand religious activities are held here every year.

Sun and Moon Mountain & Daotang River: with an altitude of 4,389 meters, the mountain divides Qinghai Province into east agriculture area and west pastoral area. There is a legend goes that in the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Taizong granted Princess Wencheng a mirror named the Sun and the Moon before she married King Songtsen Gampo of Tibet, and in the mirror she could see Chang'an, the capital, and her relatives. When she passed through Qiling range, the princess threw the mirror onto the mountain. Hence the name.

At the west foot of the mountain, a river called Daotang River originated from the Chahan Grassland, flows from east to west for 42 miles and goes directly to the Qinghai Lake. It is said that the river water was tears of Princess Wencheng who suffered from homesick.

Qinghai Lake: with an area of 4,500 square kilometers, 3,200 meters above the sea level, surrounded by four lofty mountains, Qinghai Lake is the largest inland salt lake in China. Its voluminous and misty scenery likes a tear on the surface of the earth.

Day 3 Qinghai Lake / Xining
Visit Bird Island, Gold and Silver Grassland and a Tibetan family, get back to Xining afterwards.

Bird Island: located in the northwestern corner of Qinghai Lake, less than 1 square kilometer, the island is the paradise for more than 100,000 migrant birds, including bareheaded geese, cormorants, terns, swans, and brown-headed gulls from southern China and the Indian Ocean. May and June are the best time for admiring the birds. The flying birds blot out the sky and cover the sun, forming a splendid view on the island.

Day 4 Xining / Tu Autonomous County / Xining
Drive to the Tu Village of the Tu Autonomous County, get back to Xining afterwards.

Tu Village:Qinghai's Tu people have a total population of 190,900, who speak their own Tu language. The Tu people used to believe in the multi-gods religion, with some believing in Taoism. After the Yuan and Ming dynasties, the majority of people began to believe in Tibetan Buddhism while ancestors worship and multi-gods worship were still kept.

July's Nadun in lunar calendar is not only a traditional temple fair for the Tu people, but also a grand entertainment meeting of mass foundation and rich national characteristic. It last two months, starting from mid July and ending in mid September in the lunar calendar. Because of its long duration, large scale and grand scene, it is called “the longest carnival in the world"

Day 5 Xining / Tongren County
Visit the Mengda Heavenly Pond, the Salar Village of Xunhua County, and then drive to Tongren County, where you will stay overnight.

Mengda Heavenly Pond: 150 kilometers from Xining, the pond covers an area of 20 hectares with 30 meters in depth. The pond is surrounded by a wide variety of trees, shrubs and flowers full of rich colors. Among the dense forest, there are rare animals and birds, such as blue sheep and snow cocks. With waterfalls and visible wildlife, the place has become a state nature reserve.

Salar Village: initiated in Qinghai, Salar people who speak the Salar language has inhabited in Qinghai for generations. Located at the Yellow River valley, Xunhua is the only Salar Autonomous County in China. Salar people believe in Islamism, which has a profound influence to every field of their lives.

Day 6 Tongren County / Xining
Visit the Longwu Monastery to enjoy Regong Buddhist Art, and drive back to Xining.

Longwu Monastery: first built in 1301 as a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of Yellow Sect. The architecture of the Scripture Hall and other halls in the Monastery is very magnificent and splendid with gorgeous decorations. With rich historical relics, the monastery can be regarded as the museum of Regong Buddhist Art.

Regong Buddhist Art: Regong Art is one of the most important sects in the fields of Tibetan Buddhist arts. Tongren is named ‘Regong' in Tibetan. Ever since the Tibetan Buddhism of Gelukpa Sect (Yellow Sect) came into Tongren area in the 15th-16th century, different artistic forms such as painting, sculptures and stone inscription for Buddhism have been sprung up by Tibetan and Tu peoples near the Longwu River, nearly everyone in the villages near the Longwu River could paint, and every family was engaged in art.

The techniques of the Regong art have been fully used in beautifying people's life, and can be found almost everywhere - on the walls, bricks, stones, clothes, and buildings. The principle forms include Tangka, fresco, sculpture, carvings, Barbola, colored painting and ghee flowers.

Day 04 Yuanyang (B/L)
Drive to Duo Yi Shu in the morning to see the sunrise at the terraced-fields. Visit the spectacular terraced-fields at Quanfu Zhuang and JinkouVillage. After lunch, visit terraced-fields at Laohu Zui, Baoshan Zhai and Bada.

Visit the Family Zu's Garden which is a typical local residence with distinctive features and the famous Confucius Temple - the biggest temple in Yunnan Province, built in the 22nd year of the Zhiyuan era of the Yuan Dynasty (1285).

Be transferred from Jianshui to Kunming. Visit the beautiful Fuxian Lake in ChengjiangCounty en route.

Day 07 Kunming - - Lijiang (B/L)
Be transferred to the airport. Take a flight to Lijiang. Arrive at Lijiang. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Visit Baisha Mural Paintings and stroll around at Lijiang ancient town; the town was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997.

Full day tour to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain,which is 18000 feet above sea level. It is a treasure of wild plants and rare animals. Take cable car to the snow line. Day 09 Lijiang-bus-Shangri-la (B/L)
Be transferred from Lijiang to Shangri-la. Visit the First Bend of Yangtze River en route. First flowing south, then north, the river has shaped a dramatic triangle at an area of about 50 square kilometers. Then visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge - one of the world's four great gorges. It is located in HutiaoxiaTown in ZhongdianCounty and is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the earth. Arrive at Shangri-la – which is described in The Lost Horizon in James Hiltom's novel.

Day 10 Shangri-la (B/L)
Visit the Songzanlin Lamasery - the most important Lamasery of Tibetan Buddhism in Yunnan province. Then visit the BitaLake, where lies in the heart of the nature preserve surrounded by mountains covered with ancient pines, oaks and rhododendron. After that visit a Tibetan familily. You will see the real lift of Tibetan and you may be welcomed by the Tibetan Tea, snacks.

Day 11 Shangri-la - - Kunming (B)

Service & highlight: Drive 2&halg an hour to southeast of Urumqi city to Turpan, on the way pass by Urumqi Wind Power Mill, which wan built for producing electrical power. And then a village located at the foot of Heavenly Mountain, which was a very prosperous caravan city called “Daban Cheng”, because from there caravans cross the Heavenly Mountain and the whole Gobi Desert without any villages &town in couple of mouth. After cross the valley of Tianshan mountain, can arrive the lowest depression of China-Turpan city. Turpan is ab Uygur town set in a large oasis surrounding by desert and dry mountains. Upon arrive, visit the mysterious death city-the ruins of jiaohe, which reveals trace of a prosperous ancient trading center and military stronghold at 1600 years ago, used to be the most frontier barrier at the west for the dynasties. And then we visit Ancient Karez, the underground water supply &irrigation systemand its museum .Turpan is famous throughout China for its big and sweet grapes, evening enjoy Uygur show in the countyard.

Then take some time to visit the Huaqing Hot Springs which is famed for both its dainty spring scenery and the romantic love story of Tang Emperor Xuanzong and his concubine Yang Guifei. This afternoon, visit the landmark of this city - Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Day Three: Xian
Drive to Famen Town of Fufeng County, about 120 kilometers west of Xian to visit the Famen Temple and the Famen Temple Pagoda, which are renown for for storing the veritable Finger Bone of the Sakyamuni Buddha. Take the rest time to visit the Lady Yang's Tomb and the Xianyang Terracotta Museum. Drive back to Xian.

Day Four: Xian Exit
Excursion today will bring you to Shaanxi History Museum to aprreciate China's long history, which is considered as an obligation to be a showcase of China's ancient civilizations. Afternoon visit one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China - Great Mosque. Afterwards, private transfer takes you to the airport and your pleasant China tour ends here.

Baifo Monastery was built in 1916, the one of the leading monasteries in Haibei area.

This town is newly opened for visitors. It was once the base of developing nuclear weapon in 1960’s and 1970’s. The original workshops and equipment can be visited. The big monument is standing here to tell the history of the town.

D12: Bus to Huzhu Tu minority village, enjoy Tu minority customs, local folk songs, swing dance, their traditional costumes, and embroidery lunch at local people’s home.

Day 02 Guiyang-- Sandu (B/L)
Be transferred from Guiyang to Sandu - the only autonomous county of Shui People in China. En route, you will have a chance to see the traditional way of paper-making and visit a Long-skirt Miao Village.

Day 03 Sandu - -Rongjiang (B/L)
Visit Yangweng Shui People's Village in the morning. You will find the special Baby-carrier from Horse-tail Embroidery. Drive to visit Sanbao Dong Village. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Duliu River.

Day 04 Rongjiang -- Liping - -Zhaoxing (B/L)
Visit Dali Dong Village which has not been touched by travelers. Then visit Dimen Dong Village. Family visit will be arranged to explore their daily life. Late afternoon, arrive at Zhaoxing.

Day 05 Zhaoxing - -Congjiang - -Rongjiang (B/L)
Explore Zhaoxing Dong Village - the largest Dong Village in China. Then drive to visit Tang'an Dong Village which is noted as the first ecological museum of Dong people. Continue driving to Rongjiang, en route visit the Basha Miao Village noted for men's hair dresses and women's shinning fabric from egg-white.

Day 06 Rongjiang –- Kaili (B/L)
Drive back to Kaili via Leigong Mountain to view the gorgeous mountain scenery of terraced fields. En route, visit another Shui People's Village located in a deep valley, a Pottery-making Village and a Long-skirt Miao Village. In the late afternoon arrive in Kaili - the capital city of Guizhou southeast Autonomous prefecture of Miao & Dong people.

Day 07 Kaili - -Guiyang(B/L)
Drive back to Guiyang. Visit the Jiaxiu Pavilion, which was originally built in 1598. The pavilion is magnificent and unique, and of great culture significance in Guiyang.Then visit the Qingyan Old Town.

Day 08 Guiyang -- Home (B)
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.

Day by day Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival in Dunhuang
Our guide will pick you up at Dunhuang airport and transfer to the hotel. You will
experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Moon
Lake. Surrounded by rolling ridges and precipitous cliffs, Echoing-Sand Mountain
reaches a relative elevation of 250 meters. Every time when the wind sweeps across the
sands, a thunder-like sound can be heard from the mountain, and the sound like musical
instruments if there is a breeze, hence the name Echoing-Sand Mountain. Nearby,
locates the Crescent Moon Lake. It is a natural spring fed pond measuring about 240
meters from east to west, and 50 meters from north to south. It appears its clear and
beautiful quietly. Be transferred back to your hotel.


Day 2. Dunhuang
Visit the Mogao Grottoes, a system of 492 Buddhist cave temples. They are the greatest
and most consummate repository of historical and cultural collection over a thousand
years between China and other nations. The most noted collections are many pilgrims
painted murals, Clay statues and 50,000 manuscripts written in many languages.
Then visit the Dunhuang Museum. Established in 1979 with an area of 2400 square
meters, this museum houses more than 4000 pieces of cultural relics from primitive
society to the end of the Qing Dynasty. The material objects providing the plenty
evidences to "Silk Road" are also exhibited here. Be transferred back to your hotel.
